Productivity now and in the future

The concept of organizational efficiency has developed in past years from considerations on removing the unproductive activities into discussions on impact of motivational aspects relating to productivity. There two important measures that give some indication concerning human efficiency; productivity and wage-adjusted productivity, so considering e.g. the value-added either in terms of time spent or wages paid. Productivity seems facilitate very diverse opinions, especially when it comes to what would be the proper actions for increasing the productivity. Another debate concerns different opinions on the way in which productivity should be calculated; the straightforward way (calculation of quotient) and those that consider different reasons behind the productivity development. To get an idea on what type of issues may be influencing productivity, I think, e.g. PESTLE could be applied. Then there is the matter of valuation, making the different types of valuation techniques comparable or equivalent. The actions that would be effective will obviously be dependent on the goals and business environment in which one wishes to operate, whether that be a high-tech dominated environment, one specializing in low-tech industries, or something in between. There are few other things I would like to point out including the return on investment (also concerning education), the increasingly rapid technological development, and structures that provide a means to successfully operate in the changing environment that will provide substitutes for traditional ways of doing and new ways of earning. 3. joulukuuta 2015, 0:59 Johanna Sandman
